Common Questions About Our Security Services

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Security Services

Here are some typical and common questions our clients have asked during our consultation process.

Do your guards have criminal background checks?

Yes. Our pre-employment background investigation far exceeds that of most security companies and department juristdictions. We conduct a rigorous applicant screening process as well as criminal and civil background research which includes all criminial, public, and social media aspects of the applicant.

What other security qualifications do your employees have?

In addition to our criminal background checks, FCP Security Services personnel all submit to a battery of aptitude tests, a 5-panel drug screening, and extensive in-service training regarding the laws, rules, and regulations of the Private Security Bureau of Texas as well as tactical training in hand-to-hand defensive combat, restraint practices. We also conduct psychological and verbal training to defuse and disarm non-violent security situations.

What training do the guards receive?

FCP Security Services conducts training that exceeds the vast majority of our competitor’s programs. The knowledge of our management team is passed on to our new employees through continuous on-site, classroom and in-office training. We routinely conduct firearms training for our commissioned officers in an effort to reinforce effective habits that ensure the safety and security of our clients and their personnel in the event of an active shooter situation. In addition to the state mandated certification courses, FCP security personnel must attend quarterly:

  1. Range training and certification for commissioned officers
  2. Self-defense Techniques Class
  3. Constant re-enforcement of the communication tactics commonly referred to as “Verbal Judo”
